PFA lining and sheathing

Coatings made from the fluorothermoplastics PFA and PVDF offer reliable corrosion protection even in aggressive environments. PFA is characterised by its chemical resistance, wide temperature range and non-stick properties, making it a cost-effective and easier to process alternative to stainless steel. The application of these coatings requires specific design requirements for the thermoplastic transfer moulding process, which our team will be happy to advise you on.

Linings and jackets for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry

Even with aggressive media, reliable corrosion protection is achieved with coatings made from the fluorothermoplastics PFA and PVDF.

Due to its PTFE-like molecular structure, PFA has almost universal chemical resistance.

Furthermore, PFA linings in particular are characterised by large temperature ranges of use and very good cleaning options due to the non-stick properties of the material. This means that for many applications it is possible to dispense with stainless steel and choose a much more favourable and easier to process base material.

Because the coatings are applied using the thermoplastic transfer moulding process, a number of design requirements must be met, which our team will be happy to discuss with you in advance.
