PVDF
Polyvinylidene fluoride is a partially fluorinated thermoplastic. Its chemical resistance is good but less so than that of PTFE. The material offers the following properties, however:
- Outstanding mechanical characteristics – see table With PVDF, deformation under load is just 0.96% (at 14 N/mm2)
- High wear-resistance
- High impact-strength
- Good stress-cracking resistance
- Flame resistance
